Celebrating the Birthplace of Baseball evolved over thirty years primarily by spirited citizens and civic groups of the Village of Cooperstown. In the early thirties the need to formalize, control actives, and satisfy legal matters the Cooperstown Centennial Committee was formed. Late in 1938 the Committee was incorporated to deal better with copyright issues until 1940 when it was disbanded. This is some of the ephemera left behind.
